What is
'Life of P.I.'?

Disclaimer: there is no involvement of shipwrecks or Bengal tigers

Have you ever wondered what it's like to build a life and career in research, science and/or academia? Ever thought about how your professors and lecturers ended up where they are now? What struggles they dealt with, what they considered highlights, or what advice they wish they had and would like to impart on younger scientists?

In 2023, some students from the DSCB major organized a lecture series called 'Life of P.I.' where exactly these questions were addressed, and students had the opportunity to gain insight on just how different an academic journey could look like between the invited speakers. Good news is, after a successful second instalment, Life of P.I. is returning again for this upcoming winter semester. It will feature talks by a broad range of speakers from many different institutes and career stages.

We're looking forward to seeing you there!
